About DESOTEC

DESOTEC is the leading provider of mobile filtration solutions in Europe and is establishing this leading market position in the USA.

With their sustainable mobile filtration solutions, they are committed to helping protect the planet by driving positive ecological change across all industries.

Their mission is to unburden industrial businesses in Europe and USA, and help them operate more sustainably, to build a cleaner, greener world for all.

Filtration-As-A-Service

DESOTEC provides mobile filtration units with activated carbon to remove pollutants from air, water, and gas streams, helping companies meet environmental compliance requirements.

Customers rent the filtration units; when carbon is saturated, DESOTEC replaces the filter and takes back the used one for reactivation and reuse.

The service includes equipment, activated carbon supply, logistics, filter exchange, technical support, and compliant waste handling.

Reactivating carbon reduces waste and environmental impact while the rental model eliminates upfront investment and allows customers to scale filtration capacity easily.

Key insights

"With our filtration-as-a-service model, the customer doesn't have to worry about the logistics or the compliance. We manage the entire lifecycle of the activated carbon, from delivery to reactivation, making it a hassle-free experience for them."

"We really have the expertise in-house to find the right mix of activated carbon, ensuring that we always deliver the same high-quality pool of reactivated carbon to our customers. This way, we can really reduce waste and provide sustainable solutions. It's future-proof. Only a small part that’s undersized gets lost, but otherwise, activated carbon can keep being reused because we reactivate it and add steam to maintain its high quality."

"Activated carbon is a very porous material. One spoon of activated carbon has approximately the internal surface of a football field."

"We have years of R&D behind us to create a furnace that allows us to close the loop for the biogas sector, creating gypsum from sulfur on the carbon."

"Our engineers are discussing complex problems. It's one filter we deliver to the customer, but the carbon in it and the exchange frequency need to be estimated correctly."
